Church Of The Holy Name, Episcopal

The Marie Joy guild meets on the first Wednesday of the month, alternating noon and evening meetings to accomodate all women of the church and their guests.

We meet for fellowship, have guest speakers, and do outreach into the community. We have sent donations to My Brother's Table, Toys for Local Childern, and support the needy of Bridge House, a transition home for women and children in Lynn.

We also remember the people who are unable to attend church regularly with with plants at Christmas, and will also do so at Valentines and Easter.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild has a very special function as it prepares the altar and church for the regular services, the holy days, and the great festivals of the church such as Christmas and Easter. Preparations for weddings, funerals, and baptisms are also the responsibility of the guild.

The guild cares for the linens, communion silver, liturgical hangings, candles, and brass vases which are used in the various services.
